Summary
This feature allows trainees to rate courses using a 5-star rating system. Ratings provide direct feedback to course creators and managers on course quality and effectiveness. Aggregated ratings are visible at the course management level to support content optimization and decision-making.
This capability also supports our contractual requirement with Deutsche Telekom to provide measurable course feedback.
What this is:
Today, editors and managers lack structured, course-level qualitative feedback from trainees. Without a simple feedback loop:
Content quality is difficult to assess
Course improvements are based on indirect signals
There is no standardized quality benchmark across courses
We cannot formally meet feedback-related enterprise commitments (e.g., Deutsche Telekom)
This feature introduces a lightweight, optional feedback mechanism without disrupting the training flow.

Course Creation / Edit
Add a new toggle on the Course Main Page:
Enable Course Rating
Default: OFF
When OFF → Rating option is not visible to trainees
When ON → Rating configuration becomes available
When enabled, editor must configure:
Is rating mandatory?
Yes
Yes → Trainee must submit a rating to complete the course
No
No → Trainee may choose whether or not to rate the course

Display aggregated trainee rating per course:
Average star rating (e.g., 4.2 / 5)
Course navigation bar (trainee)
Trainees will see the rating they provided for this course in the navigation bar

One rating per trainee per course
Rating can be updated while course is active
Latest rating overrides previous value
Ratings remain stored for reporting purposes
Triggers when course Rating is mandatory
