Course Performance dashboard

Summary

The Course Performance Dashboard provides a high-level overview of all courses in the account, including assigned, on-demand, and unassigned courses. It helps decision makers understand course exposure, participation, completion progress, engagement levels, and course quality signals such as average scores and trainee ratings.

This dashboard focuses on course adoption and engagement, rather than detailed trainee performance.

What this dashboard helps answer

  • Are trainees assigned to the courses they should be practicing?

  • Have trainees started their assigned courses?

  • How many trainees completed each course?

  • How much practice is happening per course?

  • What are the average performance scores?

  • How do trainees rate the course experience?

Filters

Time Frame

Shows courses that were created within the selected time frame.

Important note:

This differs from most dashboards, which filter by session activity.

In this dashboard, the filter applies to course creation date, not practice sessions.

Courses Filter

Allows selecting specific courses to analyze.

  • Multi-course selection not supported

  • Defaults to all courses within the time frame

Teams Filter

Filters data according to users belonging to specific teams.

This allows managers to analyze course adoption and performance across different organizational groups.

Dashboard Columns

Course

Displays the course name.

Also shows the average user rating trainees gave the course.

This rating reflects direct trainee feedback on course quality.

Assigned

image-20260309-183847.png

A percentage pie chart showing:

Assigned users / Total potential users in the account

This indicates how widely the course is distributed across the organization.

Example interpretation:

If only 30% of users are assigned, the course may not yet be broadly deployed.

On Demand

image-20260309-183915.png

Boolean indicator showing whether the course can be accessed without assignment.

If enabled, trainees can start the course without being formally assigned to it.

Status

image-20260309-183950.png

Shows the current course state:

  • Draft

  • Published

  • Archived

If published, the publish date is displayed.

Progress

image-20260309-184015.png

Bar graph showing trainee progress distribution:

  • Not Started

  • In Progress

  • Completed

This allows managers to quickly understand adoption and completion levels.

Completed Sessions

image-20260309-184057.png

Average number of completed sessions per user for the course.

This reflects how much trainees practice within the course.

Higher numbers typically indicate deeper engagement with the training material.

AVG Score

image-20260309-184126.png

Average top score trainees achieved in the course.

This metric uses the highest score each trainee achieved when calculating the average.

This reflects the best demonstrated performance across trainees.

Date Created

image-20260309-184150.png

Displays the course creation date.

This helps contextualize adoption levels relative to how long the course has been available.

Important Behavior Notes

This dashboard focuses on aggregated course data

It does not include individual trainee information.

All metrics are presented at the course level.

Difference from other dashboards

Most dashboards filter by session activity.

This dashboard filters by course creation date, which can cause confusion if users expect session-based filtering.

What this dashboard intentionally does NOT show

  • Individual trainee names or emails

  • Assignment history or timeline changes

  • Role-play or task-level details

  • Trend analysis over time

  • Certification or pass/fail logic

Detailed analysis should be performed using exportable reports or other dashboards.

EU Data Privacy Limitation

For EU accounts with performance visibility restrictions:

  • Metrics are only shown when 5 or more trainees are included in the dataset

  • If fewer trainees are present, values may appear hidden or unavailable
