Overview
Practice Mode lets trainees complete a role-play without receiving a score, so they can rehearse freely before submitting a scored attempt.
In-Session Hints provide real-time guidance during practice sessions, helping trainees stay on track based on the conversation so far.
Together, these features help trainees learn faster and more confidently — while keeping official performance reports and certifications accurate.
Who It’s For
Practice Mode and In-Session Hints are especially useful for teams that want to:
Focus on learning, not just scores
Trainees can experiment, reflect, and improve without the pressure of grades.
Build realistic, adaptive training experiences
Real-time hints make practice feel more natural and guided.
Keep reporting and certification data clean
Practice attempts don’t count toward performance metrics or certifications.
Support onboarding and readiness programs
New trainees can practice before completing a scored session.
Practice Mode
What It Is
Practice Mode allows trainees to rehearse role-plays with:
No numeric scores
Full feedback
Optional in-session hints
Practice attempts can be repeated as many times as needed without affecting reports or averages. Once ready, trainees can move on to a scored attempt of the same role-play.
How It Works
When Practice Mode is available, trainees choose between Practice and Scored each time they start a role-play.
Practice sessions are clearly labeled and include access to hints (if enabled for the course).
In-Session Hints
What It Is
During practice sessions, trainees can click Get Hint to receive real-time feedback.
Hints are generated automatically by AI, based on the live transcript and training criteria.
Each hint:
Appears in a sidebar or pop-up message
Disappears after a few seconds
Counts toward a limited number of available hints (e.g., “2 of 5 hints left”)
Session Analysis
Hints will appear contextually, based on the topic they relate to.
If the trainee used a hint, it will be indicated in the session data.
Usage is determined based on the trainee’s response following the moment the hint was provided.
Example of Knowledge section in Analysis with hints:
Notes
Hints are only available in Practice Mode.
They do not appear in reports or affect scores.
Each course may have its own limit for how many hints can be used per session.
Reports and Scoring
How Practice Sessions Appear
Practice sessions are labeled separately from scored ones across all reports.
Trainee Session Overview
Shows both practice and scored attempts, with “N/A” displayed instead of a numeric score for practice runs.
Performance and Certification Reports
Only scored sessions count toward averages and certification progress.
Improvement Reports (First to Best)
Practice sessions are shown for context but don’t affect improvement calculations.
Topic Breakdown
Practice attempts display “N/A” for topic scores and don’t impact team or company averages.
Dashboards and Leaderboards
Practice sessions appear alongside scored ones for visibility, but only scored sessions count toward rankings.
